body=Ted plays the violin - no power switch - as well as all the requisite gear to create any kind of music imaginable in his studio at DHMA.  And while he grimaces at the term %22<i>Classical Guy</i>%22 he does in fact write for and conduct live orchestra regularly.<p></p>    After composition studies at Yale, Ted freelanced as a violinist (you try it) around NY, while continuing to study composition w/ Jacques Monod / Juilliard %26 jazz w/ Mike Longo. As DHMA's resident wildcard, Ted is forever involved in independent films, twice with award-winning results at Sundance.  His score for the <b>Gorilla Rainforest</b> Installation at the Bronx Zoo led to %22the time of my life studying African Music - the mbira, balaphon, ethnic flutes, percussion and tribal voices.%22
